We have lost any contact with him since 2010, when after he initially agreed to reform and recorded a track at the time called "Towers" then changed into "Change of skin". We believe he lives in the US but have no idea of what he is doing. As far as we know he has sadly retired from the music scene. We hope he is ok.
Some of you have been sadly scammed with an alleged and fraudulent "Danse Society" band in the last 4 years impersonating us. After our ex drummer left the band in January 2014 he started (and lost) a court case by registering an illegitimate Trademark to expropriate us of our name by inventing stories of band splits he was unable to prove. The story is simple: The Court has awarded the registration of the name The Danse Society to us because original founder member and guitarist Paul Nash is still in the band since 1980 and he never left the band. Sadly racist, bullying and image shaming remarks were also addressed to our singer by such ex band members, along with inciting trolls to engage into harassment and hatred campaigns. We don't want to deal with sexism, racism and this type of behaviour any longer and we do not wish to be associated to anyone involved with it.
So if you were told there was another band with the same name, we are sorry but as you can see it was undoubtedly a FRAUD. Ex band members count only Steve Rawlings, David Whitaker, Lyndon Scarfe, Tim Wright, Martin Roberts and Paul Gilmartin. Any other names claiming to be part of the band whether currently or in the past are sadly deluded. Any residual attempt to discredit our band remains a sad pathetic desperate lack of decency we don't want to deal any more. Should you spot any residual of such fraud please report it directly to the host and to us.
Thank you for your continuous support over the years.
Peace & love
